Alpha-Marshall Productions (AMP) is an independent film and media production studio based in Dayton, Ohio, founded in March 2023 by Joshua Matthieu. The company’s name pays homage to Matthieu’s late grandfather, Neil Marshall, and his mechanic shop, Alpha Performance—a symbol of integrity, craftsmanship, and excellence that continues to shape AMP’s creative philosophy.

Joshua Matthieu
Joshua Matthieu is a producer and director with a passion for bringing powerful stories to life on screen. A student at Wright State University, he is the founder of Alpha-Marshall Productions, a growing production company dedicated to creating high-quality, low-budget films. Joshua has produced notable projects, including The Rake (2024) and A Light Amidst Ashes (2025). A proud Eagle Scout, he carries the values of leadership, dedication, and perseverance into his work as a filmmaker. Beyond filmmaking, Joshua has a deep enthusiasm for cars, often drawing creative inspiration from their design and culture. With a clear vision and a strong commitment to his craft, Joshua continues to build his voice as a new-generation storyteller in independent cinema.
JM Ward
JM Ward is a filmmaking student at Wright State University and the founder of Matthers Productions. He began his creative journey in front of the camera with a role in The Rake (2024) before stepping behind it to pursue writing and directing. His directorial debut, Writer’s Block (2024), highlights his sharp storytelling and strong visual style. Known for his talent as a screenwriter, JM brings a unique voice and perspective to every project he takes on. As a rising filmmaker, he continues to develop compelling narratives that reflect both depth and originality.
Rosario Combs
Rosario Combs is a filmmaking student at The University of Dayton with a passion for storytelling through film. Before attending UD, she studied media and video production at Miami Valley Career Technology Center, where she built a strong technical foundation for her craft. She began her career working with Alpha-Marshall Productions on The Rake (2024), gaining early hands-on experience in independent filmmaking. Rosario went on to write, direct, and edit A Light Amidst Ashes (2025), a project that showcased her skill as both a writer and director. With her creative vision and dedication to her work, Rosario is quickly establishing herself as a rising voice in independent cinema.
Brennan Abbott
Brennan Abbott is a Motion Pictures major at Wright State University with a strong passion for filmmaking. He got his start creating his own independent projects, including A Suburban Area, which helped shape his creative vision and technical skills. Since then, Brennan has collaborated with Alpha-Marshall Productions on several projects, such as A Light Amidst Ashes and Oscar’s. Always eager to learn and grow, he continues to explore new ways to tell meaningful stories through film.
